| | | Tchaikovsky - Symphony No. 6
The USSR Symphony Orchestra, Evgeny Svetlanov The Symphony was recorded in 1967 but Voyevoda and the Andante Cantabile were recorded in 1989. The symphonic ballad for large orchestra, Voyedova, was composed between 1890 and 1891 when Tchaikovsky was enjoying a period of serenity, reflected in this enchanting music. The Andante Cantabile was composed when he was going through a moral and financial crisis so to earn a little money, he decided to organise performances of his works for a small ensemble. | | | In stock - usually despatched within 1 working day. |
