This disc documenting the outstanding voice of Polish soprano Marcella Sembrich is a fitting tribute to her distinguished contribution to the operatic stage and concert platform. During her first season at the Metropolitan Opera, Sembrich sang in nine different operas and also performed in a number of concerts. In one concert she astounded her audience by performing a de Bériot Concerto on the violin and Chopin on the piano as well as singing! This concert confirmed her reputation as a consummate musical artist.
