Swiss by birth he lived the last years of his life in The Netherlands. Martin’s style is very expressive, based on the tonal and harmonic structures of the romantic era; one could call him a Neo Romantic. His full-scale oratorio Golgotha is a strong, bold work, which surpirsingly enough gets not the attention it deserves, as it is a true masterpiece.
