Award-winning clarinetist André Moisan returns with Phantasiestücke, his seventh ATMA CD, which includes the world premiere recording of a sonata by Josef Rheinberger. Known for his consummate mastery of the instrument, Moisan has chosen to complement the Rheinberger with romances of the German Romantic period : Schumann, von Sachen-Meiningen and Reinecke. He is joined by pianist Jean Saulnier, also his partner on the critically acclaimed 2005 ATMA recording of sonatas by Brahms and Jenner.
