“On a purely sonic level, this is an extraordinary listening experience…All quartets share a hushed intimacy, with toneless bowing – a skating or rustling sound. The worlds of Cage’s ‘number’ pieces and Christian Wolff’s Exercises are in the background, but for Dahinden, sonic beauty enters the equation also.” The Wire, February 2007 | | | Usually despatched in 2 - 3 working days. |

Swiss trombonist Roland Dahinden is well-known for his work in improvisational jazz and new music. As a composer, his influences are John Cage, Morton Feldman and Alvin Lucier. His works are often
influenced by works of art. Built in 21 movements, every time in a different instrumental combination, Silberen is quiet music, full of subtle changes. Lichtweiss consists of four movements for solo vibraphone, based on a series of differences: I and III on the difference in attack between hard and
soft mallets, II on the difference between the bowed and struck sounds, IV on that between a loud and a very quiet layer. | | | Usually despatched in 2 - 3 working days. |
