Arnold Edward Trevor Bax (1883-1953)

English composer best known for his symphonic tone poem Tintagel.

He became Master of the King's Music, but otherwise held no formal positions. A retiring man, he had a particular interest in things Celtic, especially the poetry of Yeats, and was himself a poet.

He died in Ireland.
